Dr. Sylvie Lam will examine your teeth to determine if you need to have your wisdom teeth removed. X-rays will give us a view of where the wisdom teeth are and the best way to go about removing them. If you need to have your wisdom teeth taken out, it is best to have the procedure as soon as possible. The procedure is done in our office and you’ll go home in about an hour from start to finish.

What happens during the Wisdom Teeth Removal process?

Dr. Sylvie Lam will administer an anesthetic to numb the area. Once this is done, an incision is made through the gums and the wisdom tooth taken out. Sutures are placed so that the area can be easily healed. You will go home with aftercare instructions so that the surgical site is able to heal without the risk of infection. The surgery is quick and easy, and you’ll go home in about one to two hours following treatment. You can expect to experience come pain and swelling for several days after the surgery.
